Ati Rudra Pooja is the most elaborate and spiritually intense form of Rudra worship, described in the Yajurveda. It involves the chanting of the Rudram (Namakam and Chamakam) 14641 times—performed by 121 priests over 11 days or in an accelerated format—combined with massive scale Abhishek and homa rituals.
This pooja is rarely performed due to its scale, but when done, it brings immense spiritual merit (punya), healing of deep karmic burdens, and divine grace. It is typically organized for global peace, individual moksha (liberation), or for resolution of impossible situations such as incurable diseases, generational curses, or spiritual awakening.
It creates powerful spiritual vibrations capable of uplifting entire communities, purifying environments, and invoking the purest aspect of Lord Shiva's compassion and power.
